Project: Commonwealth Bank Place
Service: Potable water, rainwater, symphonic, hydrant/sprinkler
Supervisor: Daryl Marcantelli
Tank Vision supplied five tanks for this project, a 60,000-litre domestic cold water tank, two rainwater tanks (which fed a symphonic overflow tank), but by far the most challenging was the 150,000 litre (combined hydrant and sprinkler tank) installed in the basement.
With a unique footprint, and minimal space in which to work, we engineered a custom tank that was specifically designed to fit the space. The challenges we had to overcome included multiple internal corners, and a staggered divisional wall to achieve 50% split capacity between each compartment.
Having limited build space meant we needed to find a solution to continue the work, also, we knew this would not be the last time we would have this situation and therefore we commissioned a scaffold company to make us a slimline tower scaffold, which has helped us greatly on multiple sites already. For our clients, this is a testament to our willingness to invest in safety and innovative solutions to achieve the best outcome for you.
We helped our client with this challenging design from the concept stage (with sketches, suggestions and site visits), through to drawing approval and final design sign off by the consulting engineers.
Once we were onsite we worked with our client, and the head contractor, to ensure the tank was built to specification and to the project deadline. Such was the scope and size of this project, we needed the help of Daryll, Owen and Andre.
